Butcher & Bullock welcomes the Black Lagoon Pop-Up for another eerie year
If you’re the kind of person who counts down to Halloween like other people do to their birthday, Butcher & Bullock will be your home for the return of the Black Lagoon Pop-Up this October. This month-long celebration of horror and the occult, the bizarre and the macabre, will match up intense, immersive themed décor with a menu of innovative and delicious spooky cocktails to raise the spirits.
The Black Lagoon Pop-Up is the brainchild of international cocktail maven (and Freehouse Collective alumni) Kelsey Ramage and her partner and multi-awarded bartender, Erin Hayes. With a deep-seated love of goth and horror, Kelsey and Erin live the Halloween life 365 days a year and they created the concept for those who share their passion.
First showcased at Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans in 2021 the Black Lagoon Pop-Up found its people in lovers of horror, ghoulish good times, and strong cocktails. Over the past years, which every year, offering even more immersive, intense décor, spooky soundtracks, and a brand-new cocktail menu.
Again this year, Butcher & Bullock will be a playground of horror—think skulls, coffins, and maximum spookiness, while the cocktail team mixes up stiff drinks to soothe the spirit.
This year’s highlight eerie elixirs include Nosferatu’s Rise made with Coconut Oil Lot 40 and Lustau Amontillado Sherry, Hex Appeal with Fords Gin, Lustau Vermut Dry, and Absinthe, and the Memento Mori with Mezcal Union, Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur, Cruzan Blackstrap Rum, Giffard Banane, and Lustau Amontillado.
The Black Lagoon Pop Up will run nightly from October 1st to October 31st.
